Dancing in the Wind Tombstone
Celebrating life after death
This tombstone is a representation of dance and, through that, a celebration of life.
While death is sad, this tombstone is meant to remind loved ones of happy memories. It twists to resemble a turn in dance and serves as a reminder to its viewers to embrace their life for its highs and lows.
After considering different ways this tombstone could resemble dance, I decided my tombstone would dance through movement and be made of spring steel and ultra-high-weight molecular polyethylene fiber used in Janet Echelmen's sculptures.
